WHEN TO SEE A DOCTOR

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) symptoms:

  • Pain may vary in intensity (abdomen, side, lower back, or groin). A sudden onset of severe pain may indicate that the aneurysm has ruptured
  • Feeling full after eating only small amounts of food
  • Nausea or vomiting or both
  • Feeling a pulsating lump in the abdomen
  • Feeling faint or passing out

Carotid artery disease symptoms (CAD)

Stroke and mini-stroke symptoms may include:

  • A sudden, severe headache with no known cause
  • Dizziness or loss of balance
